It's almost over!!!!

  • So its my last month in this apartment with the ridiculous landlords. I am positive they will keep my security deposit, so I didn't pay July rent. I got an email 2 days ago asking for rent and i responded with something like, "because of the amount of money i had to put toward my next place, my dogs emergency vet bill from last weekend and my tenant moving out of my house in Michigan, I am a real bind this month. Would it be ok with you if i used my security deposit as last months rent and we can do a walk through once i clear out the place and make sure we agree on the damages (or lack of)"

    they of course said no.

so i'm moving out this weekend. putting my things in storage and commuting to my last 3 weeks of work from my boyfriends house… 90 miles each way from Connecticut to New Jersey. Its gonna be probably an hour and 40 minutes each way. YUCK.

I'm still sure they will keep my security deposit, but i'm also pretty sure they have already rerented this place for after I leave, so after they keep my deposit money, they will have all the money due to them from my stay here. I really don't know if they will come after me for more.... or if they even can if they have a renter for august and with my security deposit are paid through july.

can't wait till this is over and im' in my new house and my new job!!!!

  • Hope these next few weeks go by super quick for ya! :)

  • Yay for you! Only 3 more weeks

We were in Ohio when I wrote it. Ohio was admitted to the Union on March 1, 1803, but Congress apparently forgot to vote on the resolution. It was finally rectified on August 7, 1953, which technically makes Ohio the 47th state. However, it is counted as the 17th because it wasn't Ohioans who created the problem. Who says our Federal government isn't efficient? Zanesville, OH is the location of the Y Bridge, which starts and ends on the same side of the river. But that's where we were. The wolverine is the official state animal and nickname of the state. Fur trappers from Canada brought pelts across the state and folks further south assumed (there's that word again) the pelts were trapped in Michigan. The Detroit Red Wings assembled the Russian Five, who propelled the Hockey team to the Stanley Cup in 1997. Within a few days of the win, one of the team members was permanently benched in an auto accident, but the remaining four were instrumental in the 1998 and 2002 Stanley Cup wins for the Red Wings. We will be in Grand Rapids, MI tomorrow morning. Ms. Basenjimamma: The temperature here right now is 51F. :)

@AJs: It's been a very long time since I read The Wizard of Oz. Is Wichita where the story starts? I googled "Dorothy's House Wichita" and nothing came up except ways to get to Liberal. That's where the house is that is advertised all over Kansas as THE Dorothy's House. From what I understand (and I have been wrong before…it could happen again) the house in Liberal is where they did some of the filming. But I love the Witch-ita reference...:D I think Dorthy's house was just considered to be a farm house "out in the middle of nowhere".

@Natalplum: You both are in my thoughts. I hope your DH comes home safe and healthy. You will NEVER be lonely with your B's around. They are the best to call on for some love and comfort. Not to mention a lot of laughs! That's the best thing having a B brought into my life. I was so depressed, and then along came a B to make me laugh again. Worth their weight in gold, for sure….
