One thing that I have learned with shy rescues... let them come to you... don't push the issue.... and with any luck, she will be food motivated.. that will help lots...

We are in Fairfax and we have always had 2 dogs, this is our first Basenji. Marie is a rescue dog from Lost Dogs and Cats Rescue Foundation.

She is gorgeous. I just love brindles..my little boy Otis is a brindle as well, very dark brindle.
