If you leave things in their reach (any puppy/young dog) will get into trouble.... pick things up.... put them away, they do not know the difference between their toys/chews and things like remotes/glasses/etc... they have your scent on them. You have to work on crate training if you can't secure a place for them.

Those two labs came running towards the group like they were in charge.. But Tillo made clear that they were cool.. but he was cooler
I think Tillo misses the point that other dogs can be bigger, stronger and can work together.. or he just doesn't care.. -
I think that?s normal way how Bs behave⦠mody allways finds the largest or strongest dog (like wolfhound, pittbullterriers, Newfoundlands,...) in a park and want to play with him...when she find him she won ?t care about aother dog, this is the challenge she was looking for:)

Great photo essay! In the photo with the 2 labs, Tillo is standing in what we call the "tall dog" stance, almost on tiptoes with ridge fur up, looking as big as he can possibly look. The bigger dogs seem seem to accept that he is as big as they are!

he must have behaved so good when you got back home
nice pics

Always love to see your pictures, they are delightful. My dog also always wants to play with the big dogs at the park. She does spend time playing with other Basenji puppies, but usually no other small dogs, as though she feels they aren't worthy! Her favorite dog at the parks seems to be a pharoah dog, and her own group. At other parks where there are no B's, she prefers labs, boxers, any big dog - we all believe Basenjis think they are the biggest and the best. Which of course, is true.

Great photo's Jannekeβ¦.
