• just a little while a go I have received this picture!:eek:

Never, ever leave them alone for just a second. You never know what will happen ….it can be really dangerous.....

how will you ever get those colours out of the white fur? 😃

    Regards,

  • Well, at least they were both quiet!

  • Thank God for non-toxic markers!

  • Thanks for giving me a "start-the-day-chuckle" Seriously, what a good good dog! Good Spuds, good boy!!!

    Bad furless child! Bad bad!!!

THIS is why I like the furkids best.

eta: ooops, didn't notice it was a girl furkid! Silly me…good Spuds, good girl!!

  • Ohhh poor Bull….
She is so good behaved she let it happen! (wow! don't try it with a B!)

In Holland, a few years ago, a dog was put to sleep when it bite a child.
After a good look of the vets, the saw several staples in the dogs ears...

So the owners of the (dead) dog (also the parents of the child) suddenly woke up and realize the dog tried to stay nice but after that many staples he just got to much pain and bite the child....

Never let a combination of dogs and kids allone... 😞

I love that pic…quite a few people have forwarded it to me 🙂 How do we now the Bull didn't WANT to be colored? Maybe he likes body art 🙂

That is really sad 😞 A friend of mine had a Rott…the nicest one you would EVER meet. Her daughter decided to bite his ear because she saw a joke about it in the movie SnowDogs. Well, he growled and muzzle punched her, but didn't do any damage (thank goodness!) Guess who got in trouble? NOT the dog...good animal people! But it can happen with any dog, as we all know.

That being said, four out of our six Bs wouldn't mind being colored on 😉 But they would all be p*$$ed if someone bit or stapled their ear!

  • My ex-obedience instructor told us about a niece/nephew who was left alone with color markers with her show dog right before a show – you can guess what happened 😃

I wonder if you could explain that to the judge 😉 "well, ya see…I left the dog with my niece and this new set of markers" 😉 I suppose it might depend on what the original color of the dog was!

  • And the sense of humor of the judge!

  • Its a cute photo, but really, small kids and dogs can be a problem.
My friend who does Pit bull rescue says she always makes sure her dogs are PROTECTED from the kids!

  • Medjai would let a kid draw on him. Then he'd get really pissed off when he tried to like himself clean. Luckily I have no kids and won't leave them together when I have kids.

  • Sometimes Kids come to "strange" ideas about what to do with a pet. Therefore it always should be obligatory for the partents or other adults to have a close eye on what is going on there…. Marbles in dog ears are also no fun to have...

In Germany there is a huge political discussion against so called "dangerous breeds" because a few accidents with such breeds have been pushed through the press and tv. There are hard laws on who is allowed to keep these dogs and who is not. There are partially very high taxes you have to pay in several areas when you have a pit or amstaff or kangal or whatever they think is a "dangerous breed".

But there are countries which play it even harder: for example a while ago you where not able to travel from Germany to Holland with a Staff-Mix. They would have taken the dog from you and maybe put it down without you being able to do something against it. But as far as I know, this law has been cancelled....hopefully...
