Way to go Kobey, Kev and I are so proud of all you have done. I suppose we have to give much credit to those humans in your life like Pat and Anne, hugs to you all and we can't wait to hear more successful lure trial stories.

Great shots Pat!!!
I think it was just one of hers she runs with a muzzle
-
I thought you ran them with a muzzle on them?
I do, this was his very first practice ever for the full course, so I wanted to see first what his focus was by himself….. I take much time with practice, putting muzzles on, practice with other Basenjis.... so this was the baby step..

I run all of mine now with muzzles, however for just practice and if running by themselves I might leave it off every now and again…

I thought you had said you did. The last time we ran Willy we had one on him. Didn't seem to bother him a bit.

Like I said, I do run with muzzles, again this was just his first practice and it was more important to me with him running without a muzzle to see his level of interest… I doubt seeing him run that it will bother him at all either... so next time we will put one on... Typically a dog keen on the lure, it will not bother them... However, had he "not" been totally interested I would approach things differently....

I like the second photo and how interested he is on the "bunny", very cool.

I would like to know how to get started in the sport. I don't even know who to ask if there is any here in the Ft. Hood, Texas area… Any suggestions?

I would love to see them. -
