First time Basenji owner!

Hello everyone,
We are first time owners of a basenji. Cleopatra "Cleo" joined our family April 1st 2007. She is 11 weeks old and a welcome addition. We have a 12 yr old miniature dacshund named Peppermint. Peppermint isn't overly impressed with Cleo at this point but I think they will be good friends. Cleo was very vocal last night at bedtime and then early this morning she had plenty to say but when invited into bed with us, she settled right down for a nap. She isn't fond of the rain so potty training is going to be fun as the forcast is calling for plenty of it.
I guess that's enough about us for now.I have attempted to include a picture of Cleo…..Brenda

Thanks to all for the warm welcome!!!
So night number one was pretty rough, she sure was vocal. She is in her crate for the night now and so far ….so good.
Had a bit of a name change though. We wanted something that suited her and the breed so we are now going to call her Zuri. That is Swahili for 'beautiful' and we think it suits her just nicely. I think the name is a keeper though we did have a few others on our list of acceptables. i will let you all know the final decision later.... for now, another pic of our cutie.Brenda

Oh, how cute! (wait till the 'honeymoon' period is over, you might want to rethink the 2 basenji thing! I have three-I must be insane!)
