Basenji Pup Wanted

Hi, I have been looking for a Basenji pup for some time now if anyone knows of any litters or how do I be put on a waiting list? Thank you.

There is a world out there, Expand you search. We lived in Hawaii and we got ours from N.Z. Cost was $2,000 - most of it airfare. He was worth it.

@morsesa - I believe the cost that you are saying is from many years ago.... pup prices in NZ or Australia now are 2000.00 for the pup and transportation can doubt that price.

Expand your search as said. I asked about some in the UK but none. I'm getting one from Ukriane next month all fully vax, with passport and more. I actually can't wait.

@viknkrish - Congrats! Who are the sire/dam? Many of us even in the US are related by our Basenjis. Be sure they are DNA tested for Fanconi....

@viknkrish Several people in UK are buying puppies from Belarus and Ukraine this year. Most of their parents will have been DNA tested for Fanconi and PRA - but not by OFA. Many of those tested by the Zoogen laboratories will have indications on my pedigrees database website so you can check parents but in any case, make sure you ask your breeder too.

In any case, you can get your puppy tested easily once it arrives.

And so let us know its parentage !
