Dolce's Thanksgiving Wish Comes True!

  • should have added that pic looks like it belongs here:

  • My dogs are jealous, they only got nibbles, not a whole bird!

  • I can't believe your B is sitting there just looking at the turkey! Mine would have ripped the tablecloth off of the table just to get it, then try to drag it across the kitchen/living room to somewhere 'more comfortable' to eat it.

  • @krunzer:

Can you spell "photoshop"? đŸ˜‰ (or maybe it just took a moment…..like to see the followup picture!)

  • Geeze! That's not Big Bird from Sesame Street is it?

  • Dolce's a good girl, she sat there for about 10 pictures and never bothered the turkey. Now if it was a raw steak laying there, she would have grabbed it taken it outside and devoured it in about 30-seconds. BTW, the turkey weighed in about 22 lbs.

  • Good for Dolce - such restraint!

  • I wish I had that kind of restraint….!!!

  • That bird is almost as big as Dolce!

  • at 22 pounds, that would be bigger than my female b. However, she'd be game for attempting to eat it all!

  • @Kipawa:

That bird is almost as big as Dolce!

Dolce is tiny, the turkey beats her by 2 pounds!

  • Makes me wonder if a basenji can eat their own weight in turkey?!

ROFLMAO, I am more impressed with THAT than the huge turkey! What a good dog!

  • Yeah Tucker has learned that if he can't get to the food with is mouth or paws, maybe he can bring the food closer to him if he pulls on what is underneath the food. They are really too smart sometimes.

  • LOL too smart SOMETIMES? All the time, in overdrive. Gosh I love this breed.

  • Teddy would have had that bird off the table as soon as I let go of the platter!
Gossy, being much more lady like, would have waited patiently for me to give her some but would not have sat as nicely as yours.

  • Dolce is a sweetheart. Who knew when we named her that her name would so well describe her. Funny, some dogs are better behaved than many children, yet dogs are banned from most public establishments here in the USA.
