Hi,
I'm Kirsten. About 20 years ago I acquired my first basenji, CH Kibushi Arwen of Signet, CD (Winnie). She was a very special dog and unfortunately died from a fungal infection before age 5. I was 4.5 months pregnant when she died. I was heartbroken and had a new baby to worry about, so dogs went on the backburner for a few years ;) .
In 3 weeks, I'm headed to Chicago to pick up a brindle girl (Avongara Rikita x Ch New World Wild Wild Age). I'm excited to be "back in dogs."

WooHOO…. welcome.... couldn't pick a nicer breeder then Karla!!! I have been watching the Kita/Willow babies grow since they were born, very nice litter... and another Forum member is getting one of those pups too.... follow this link

It must have been dreadful to lose Winnie at such an early age. Do you know if she was related to the first brindle basenjis (sorry, 2nd) imported here to Bunty Bowers?

Winnie WAS a beauty! I'm so sorry you lost her at an early age. Do you remember which fungus?
But congratulations on your new puppy!!! I've been enjoying Karla's pictures of the litter, and they are quite lovely. Welcome back to the game!
