I would take her in a heartbeat if I had room.. unfortunately I'm pushing my limits with my father already, as I've saved a few cats while living with him again. She sounds like a wonderful dog. I have no doubt that the bites were provoked. Dogs, especially Basenjis, can be very sensitive. If you don't understand that you're dealing with an animal that has feelings too, you're in trouble. I will keep her in my prayers. May she find the best fur-ever home!
LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME ! Found Basenji
-
I found a Basenji Mix in Miami- Kendall area, I 'm fostering this adorable dog while looking for the owner. I found it on January 2012, and i don't have the chance to keep him (I already have 4 cats and another dog). If you are interested in or if you can advise about safe fostering places, I will appreciate it. . He is neutered, healthy , young dog, very friendly with cats, people and other dogs! 888marcela@gmail.com

Unable to view the page? You can contact BRAT at www.basenjirescue.org

Yes, I can't see the page either, and I agree with Pat. BRAT would be the best option as they will make sure the basenji you found will get a home that both understands basenjis and will match the dog's personality. BRAT and all of the local basenji rescues really do great work.

Ooops… missed the fact that this is a basenji mix. BRAT will allow a posting on their website, but I don't think they get as involved as they do with purebred basenjis.

I missed that too (about being a mix).
