I hope they find him soon!
Jennifer
I don't know about that information. Guess someone could ask RM, but it won't be me.
Thanks for posting the info Sharron.
Yes, it was an accidental breeding that happened when the husband was caring for the dogs while Marie was working.
Marie has to work as to many of us, if she felt safe leaving the bitch and pups with the vet clinic, then I am sure it was the best thing for her to do since she had to be at work.
Since this is supposed to be a support forum, taking jabs at her is truly not warranted, no matter who you are in the basenji world.
Thank you Kathy for your support of Marie during what is a difficult situation. It is refreshing to find someone who has been in the breed as long as you have willing to publicly support another like this. My hats off to you.

Well said, Karen. Let's focus on getting the family reunited, and not passing judgement.
This is a lovely little bitch… I posted pictures of her last year as a pup, stacked and head shots.
Everyone commented on how pretty she was... beautiful headpiece... sweet demeanor.
I truly hope she is okay, but I can see her being beyond freaked out and afraid to come to anyone but Mom.
Dad is dad and that is how it goes... she wants her Mommy.
COME BACK LIL RED!
Karen, is she microchipped? I'm reading lost and found ads; some will say whether they've checked for chips-
i know that the clinic she was at is a 24/7 clinic so someone is the all night to care for the patients i hear they are one of the best clinic to go to

That's a relief. I hate to think of the pups being shuffled from place to place especially without mom.
I forwarded the BRAT CHAT Lost Dog email posting about this (with pics and all) to my friends who live about 10 miles away from Meridian. They are keeping their eyes open. Hope this B mama is found soon.
Little Red does have an Avid microchip. The owner said she was checking to make sure all the information was updated.
Little Red may have been found. Hopefully more details soon.
Little Red is back at the vet hospital and reunited with her pups.
Wonderful news..the best news I 've heard in a while..happy dance for her and for her puppies.
Spectacular news… so happy to hear this!
That's great! I'm so happy to hear that they have been reunited!

I'm so glad to read this. Hopefully nobody is worse for the absence.
Yes, lets hope mom and babies can bond again.
I will let you know if I here anything else.
Great news!!!
Thank God for little miracles! I'm sure those puppies are busy scolding Mama, and Mama is happily licking those puppies with lovely basenji kisses. I love happy endings!
There was a person who had a b get out the same time this girl went missing.
Well, sadly, a car got her. Sue didn't post it until Little Red was back as she didn't want to cause any concern.
So, for all you folks who are ok with letting b's off leash, its all good until it isn't.
I am not being judgemental I let my 2 off leash in Cannon Beach Or and we take the chance that they will not head off toward the road…I am just saying, if they are loose the are at risk...
