Hi, here are some photos of Kell during his first week with us, He has gone from a bit timid to right in the middle of rough housing with his new "sisters".
-
Wow, he is adorable..so cute.
-
I love the big ears!!! He's adorable!!

We are hoping he grows into them! As he has felt more at home, his tail is also curling more tightly. And as Duane calls him, The Land Shark, chews and chews and chews. Has been 5 years since we have puppy proofed the house so that is a continuing work in progress as we go "how did he ever reach that!" and "Where did he get That!". But such fun too.

List of things Bella chewed in the first year: recliner, sofa, iPhone, TV remote, numerous shoes, underwear, throw pillows, comforter, bed skirt, Nordic Trac, collar, several dish towels . . . you get the picture. She chewed more than my first two put together. Must run in the family.

Ok, our dogs get bathed about twice a year, beginning of summer and right before it gets really cold. I let Kell watch as I bathed the 2 girls, he was fascinated, just hanging over the tub watching the action. Then it was his turn, he did not care for the water but stood very still while I soaped him. Then when I was rinsing him, he attempted to climb over my shoulder and those dew claws HURT. but Duane leant a hand and we got him all rinsed and dried. Then finished up with the grumpy 14 year old Cory, who stands and takes it when bath times come around. Again Kell was hanging over the edge of the tub watching it all. My Gambit who crossed the bridge last year HATED baths. He would walk sideways up the side of the tub to avoid the water! He would be perpendictular to the floor of the tub, I SWEAR! Never saw anything before or since like him in the bathtub. and he was a BIG basenji boy. I miss him terribly, and was not sure losing him the way I did that I would ever be ready for another B Boy, I felt like something had broken inside me. But Kell is worming his way in. I guess I had to be sure I could bond with him, more than him bonding with me in deciding to go from fostering to adopting. So that is the latest on Kell. Oh and he is down to 2 meals aday now, with a treat to go into his crate. Dawn

he's certainly adorable - no wonder you fell in love with him

I think he is wonderful, typical puppy!

I haven't had a puppy in about a thousand years, so can only imagine the "surprises" you are getting. Kell is a great looking boy, and I do sense a "failed foster" here…more like a forever-home. Congratulations! those were all pretty pups, maybe you can stay in touch with his siblings!
