  • Have you decided on their registered names yet? I'm just curious what you came up with…:o

  • As unofficial photographer and puppy socializer extroidinaire (no matter how many ways I try to spell that, it doesn't look correct…) I can attest to not only the absolute and utter cuteness, but also the wonderful temperament of these puppies. I've been going over about once a week since these guys were born, and they truly are the most fearless and most personality filled little buggers. It has been an incredible experience watching them thrive and grow and learn and outsmart me each and every week.
Last week I got to hear several little puppy baroos & other noises. Too cute!!!

(Just wanted to make you all jealous :D )

  • just out of curiosity, does the pink on their noses darken up or will some of them always have pink on their noses?

They are very cute. I am partial to the tris of course. :)

  • @irena:

    My favourite is tri male.
By the way, great t-shirt .

Isn't the shirt awesome? I got it at the BCOA national specialty this year. I knew the vender, who is also the artist, from eons ago when I was into Chinese Cresteds. I asked her to do a trotting tri and she came up with this design. I think it turned out fabulous. :)

  • @MacPack:

I love how you crate train, it seems very "natural". They are all really cute pups!

Trust me….most litters I have had do not respond so favorably to crate-training. Most pitch a fit at first but these just walk right on into the crates when they get tired. They are extremely clean too and they will not soil their crates nor will they poop in the puppy pen if they can help it. They are pretty good about using the potty box to poop in but I'm still working on getting them to use the box for piddles.

These pups have been the most pleasant litter I have had in a long time. They are super smart and willing to please. I just show them what I want them to do, praise, and they pick it up fast. I truly couldn't be happier with their temperament. They have been a real joy to have around. :)

A big, fat raspberry to you! :p

  • Haha AJs Human. Several people on the forum have been able to come watch the little ones grow. The pups and I always enjoy their visits. Any other local people who want to meet them are welcome to come also. :)

Sometimes when there is a lot of white coloration around the nose it takes longer for the nose color to fill in. Puppy 1 is filling in more and more each week but it is one of the slowest I have ever had to fill in. Only time will tell but I don't think his nose will ever be completely black.

By seeing them every week, I guarantee I won't end up having the crazy idea that I have time & space for ANOTHER basenji right now…..

Although if the plain red girl would only fit in my purse & I could sneak it past Bindi.....:D

  • Yes, she's my favorite. She's so pretty…

She may just grow up to be a spectacular bitch. I hope to see her pics as an adult.

@Rita: They all are so very cute and I would cry for sure when they left for there new homes. Are you keeping any of them? Rita Jean Oh no :D, we already have 4 Bs at home and I think it is enough for this time. But I'm planning to keep one from upcoming litters :). But of course I would love to keep one of them :D.

Oooh, I see what you mean. I didn't look at the front facing pic. I had noticed the feet as well. But, you do have temperment, so at least that's one thing!

Thanks Robyn and Pat! I guess I'll get to see on Robyn's website, since there will be pictures from each week.

Did you confirm pregnancy? You need to get her to a vet. They will probably need to do x-rays and if an ultrasound is available then ultrasound to check heartbeats for fetal distress.
