We Found Pearl!

Basenji Rescue
  • Wonderful news…thank you for letting us know. :D

  • That's Wonderful! However….Your ex is clearly not wrapped tight. Anyone who would do something like that is not to be trusted. You need to have your locks changed and keep him away from you.

  • What great news!! Hugs to you and Pearl!!

  • What wonderful news – hooray!!
You both deserve a great big hug.

  • The good news made my day!!! :D

This situation is considered a form of domestic abuse. Please take care of yourself.

I thought exactly the same thing - PLEASE GET YOUR LOCKS CHANGED! x

  • Congrats and I second, third, fourth, whatever the locks changing. Ex is definitely got some control issues. Only an insecure human would do something like that.

  • You should also go to the local police department and ask to fill out a report so they have it on file. I hate to think he would try this again or something else just as despicable, but just the thought that you're serious and have started a paper trail may make him think twice about doing it again.

Welcome home Pearl and god bless those that helped you &/or kept precious Pearl safe. Keep yourself safe as well!!

  • I was so happy to see this post! We have been blessed to know of many kind strangers lately, but I agree with others, change your locks and let the police know, perhaps get a restraining order. Abusers (physical or psychological) use pets to hurt people at first, then often graduate to directly hurting the human. Anyone that would take and dump your beloved pet to possibly be hurt or killed is not a good person.
    Please protect yourself, and Pearl.

    Hugs!

  • HOORAY!!! So glad to hear that you have Pearl back safe and sound!

I second the thought though, change locks and get a restraining order - and don't leave little Pearl outside unsupervised…

He has a docked tail and white on the back part of his body. He sure does look Basenji from the front! He has lost weight in the shelter-now weighs 16 lbs. He is still a good looking boy! Available for adoption today. Here is his new picture: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=441156625918746&set=a.217775651590179.64764.191859757515102&type=3&theater Jennifer

So happy to hear Pearl has a new home - the people on this site, and the rescue groups that frequent it, are so warm-hearted and helpful when a B needs to find a new home. It's uplifting to read about these things happening with so much garbage going on "out there"

That's very nice; i have not read it before. Of course Zest the superstar in training would argue that she's always starving, but that's beside the point
