That's Wonderful! However….Your ex is clearly not wrapped tight. Anyone who would do something like that is not to be trusted. You need to have your locks changed and keep him away from you.

Congrats and I second, third, fourth, whatever the locks changing. Ex is definitely got some control issues. Only an insecure human would do something like that.

You should also go to the local police department and ask to fill out a report so they have it on file. I hate to think he would try this again or something else just as despicable, but just the thought that you're serious and have started a paper trail may make him think twice about doing it again.

I was so happy to see this post! We have been blessed to know of many kind strangers lately, but I agree with others, change your locks and let the police know, perhaps get a restraining order. Abusers (physical or psychological) use pets to hurt people at first, then often graduate to directly hurting the human. Anyone that would take and dump your beloved pet to possibly be hurt or killed is not a good person.

I second the thought though, change locks and get a restraining order - and don't leave little Pearl outside unsupervised…
