I cannot imagine committing to buy a puppy without seeing the animal and if possible the sire and dam. OTOH, a rescue (or adoption of an older dog) is a different thing. My last two Basenjis came to me sight unseen, and turned out to be wonderful dogs, but the breeders I got them from wanted to place their dogs in an experienced Basenji home, and I only paid the cost of getting the dogs to me. One came by air, one was personally transported to me by his breeder. If she hadn't been happy with what she found I expect she would have taken him back with her when she left. I also had to commit to return him if ever I couldn't keep him. Good breeders care about where their dogs end up.

I was wondering what kind of music you guys like best
I like a lot of music, my favourite bands are:
Depeche Mode, The Cure, The Prodigy, Massive Attack, Lou Reed ,The Chemical Brothers, Fat Boy Slim, The Presidents of the USA, Daft Punk, Muse, Radiohead, U2, Rammstein, Sex Pistols, RHCP, And I also like BonJovi, Blur, Metallica, The Offspring, Prince, David Bowie, Green Day, The Gossip, My Chemical Romance, Boy George and the Culture club, William Orbit, Faithless, Moby and a lot more, I think I forget loads of bands here hahabut I also like classic music expecially heavy and modern like what Hans Zimmer produces, or music like Vangelis produces, or certain opera, I also like Elvis and the Rolling Stones , and " wrong" music like what Quentin Tarrantino chooses to have in his movies
Drum & Bass I like that too and used to listen a lot to Goa Trance, but the dogs dont appreciate that so I never listen to GOA any more

I have divere taste in music; classical, jazz, rock & roll( I was a teen when the Beatles and Stones came along), Bluegrass, Folk & acoustic. I am not a fan of Rap or Hip-Hop, but some of the 'metal' stuff is really good. Some faves: Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, Allman Brothers, U2, Dire Straits, Nora Jones, Indigo Girls, Jimmy Buffet, on and on…...
-
I will listen to anything but country. Some of my favorites are Rolling Stones, The Clash, The Ramones, NOFX, Rancid, Metallica, Incubus, Social Distortion, Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, Bob Marley, System of a Down, and the Beastie Boys.
At the moment, I'm really into covers. I think it's interesting to hear someone else's version of a well known song. I like punk rock covers of 80s music and recently found a really cool bluegrass cover of a Metallica album.

I will admit to having a really weird taste in music. Love bluegrass, blues, (have started learning banjo..) Also big Brook Benton fan, Dinah Washington, Billie Holliday - then on to Ike & Tina - moving on up to the eighties with The Smiths, The Jam etc. Quite liked Blur - Madelaine Peroux (think thats how she spells it..) Norah Jones etc. Throw in a bit of Proclaimers, Horse, and a whole load of indi bands from my 80's childhood, and thats my record collection.
ps. Hate U2 - i think bono looks and sounds like the crazy guy from Police Academy…

I love listening to music and like all sorts, depends what mood i'm in. Some favourites are David Bowie, Jimmy Summerville, Erasure, Bob Marley, Fleetwood Mac, Motown, Northern Soul, George Michael, Abba, Bee Gees. Some more modern stuff i enjoy is Starsailor.Need to find some new bands to listen to i think.

I have a very diverse taste in music as well, it will range from Abba to Depeche Mode, the Cure and the like to Simple Minds, we of course also listen to some country, the old kind, like George Jones, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings and all the other oldies, My kids love Elvis, and I love Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli, so diverese to say the least..
-
Well I think you probably all know that I like Abba (check out puppy names!!:D).
My taste in music is very varied. I have Radio 2 on most of the time so anything played on there I like - Except Celine Dion!!
I love bands like Metallica, Thunder, Mother Love Bone, Pearl Jam etc etc. My mobi ring tone just now is Keane's Spiralling - I've been listening to the album round and round since before Xmas!
We love going to concerts and have seen Robbie Williams 3 times, Bon Jovi 3 times, Thunder, Wet Wet Wet, Simple Minds, Wolfstone and more recently Maroon 5. That was a brilliant gig.
MacPack, I too like the Indigo Girls, especially the song with the line about the lazy orange house cat as it reminds us of our Tobermory who went missing 5 years ago.
I could talk about music all day but will stop now so as not to bore you all.
When I think of more bands I like I'll post them. -
Like you Vicki i like going to concerts you can't beat live music. We have seen David Bowie twice but i dont think we will see him live again as he has had a stent fitted which i believe vibrates near loud music. Have also seen Jimmy Summerville and Hot Chocolate. We should have been going to see them again but unfortunately the concert was on the day we lost Benji.
I also like The Eagles and am a bit ashamed to say i like David Cassidy and David Essex. I guess i'm stuck in a time warp, lol. Like i said earlier i need to listen to some new bands as well. -
I totally forgot to mention Placebo and the Moody Blues, that is two more of my favourite bands and I totally forgot to mention those in my first post > shame on me < hahaha
I like Juno Reactor too, ohhh I like so many music, and you are so right that nothing beats live music, well when it is performed well ofcourse, sometimes people better shut up live and let their music get sampled :p
I went several times to Bon Jovi, 1x U2, 1x Pink, 1x Rammstein , 1x The Cure and I am finally going to Depeche Mode this year !!! I also wanted to go to Rammstein, PLacebo, The Prodigy and Muse this year, but I was too late for Rammstein and Muse and well to be honoust….cant spend all my " extra " money on concerts at the moment I wish I could hahahahaha :p
