Tillo…. even I have to say that Kipawa comes second to Tillo for handsomeness. Tillo will always be Kipawa's idol. As for little Miss Aoide, words just can't describe... 🙂
Pics of my foster boys!

Yesterday we picked up BRAT boys from indiana that we are fostering. they are 1 1/2 yrs old and they were released by their breeder, we named the black one Cole and red is Buckeye. They are very timid but also very sweet, they are starting to come out of hiding already. once they warm up i think they will be very loving boys! i tried to get some pics but they dont stay still long..

They are SO adorable
-
How sweet… how are they doing?
-
tanza- this is my first time fostering, but i think they are doing good. they will approach me but if i walk near them they usually run. they will take treats from my hand, and they are eating good, which i'm happy about becuase they need to put on a few pounds. they are getting along with my 2 pretty good, mine growl at them a little when they lick them too much, but other than that they are fine.. we are working on house training them, so if anyone has any suggestions they are appreciated!

AAHHH the Boys!
I love the names. I have been wondering how they are doing.
Give them kisses for me:) -
Awe very cute. I'm so happy to see two boys that found someone to take care of them.
For working on house breaking adults IMO I don't see it any different than house breaking a pup

What handsome boys! Were they littermates? Their facial markings look similar.
-
christy i will do that! thanks for bringing them to me yesterday and it was nice meeting you! we gave them baths last night and they are nice and shiny now! they are really sweet boys!
elena- yes they are littermates!
-
They are really cute! I hate that their start on life wasn't so great but it appears that things are really looking up. That is great. Their names fit them well!

They are adorable! ((Hugs)) to you for fostering those two!

It was great meeting you yesterday too. Too Bad it was so cold we couldnt stand around and chat.
They really are sweet shy boys, and will come around in no time. I told them on the way, when they werent listening to my car singing, that yesterday was really the first day of the rest of their lives. Even though the day i picked them up was pretty important, yesterday was the day their new spoiled lives started and they get to learn about the good life:) I think they just wanted me to shut up, quit singing, and let them sun and sleep in the toasty car. -
They are so cute! I'm sure they will come out more & socialize the longer they are in a stable home

Yes, housetraining adults is no different than a pup…. strick schedule, after sleeping, after eating, after playing... and "if" you catch them in the act of an accident in the house, a stern NO... and a trip outside.. they will get the picture before long....
And that is super that they are getting along with your current B's... that is half the battle right there.... -
thanks for all the nice comments- they are great dogs!
christy- i know i wish we could have talked longer.. but its so cold out there!! i'm just happy they are doing good, and i am excited they have the chance to find a forever home!
thanks tanza- we are working on it and i think they are catching on..

Foster homes are so important for any rescue group.
We are so lucky that basenji folks will open their homes to
b's in need.
Thank you for caring so much for these lovely 2 b's. -
Great pics! Way to go!! I wish I could foster!! One day, one day!!
On Buck's ears– do they have damage from the cold? Where did these two come from? Miles had similar blackness on his ears from being exposed to the cold for however long he was on the run before the dogcatcher got him. They healed up no problem though. It's amazing what a transformation they can make!
