My laptop is close to being 'fried'

Off Topic
  • Those were the terms used by our computer tech. :( Some stuff is not running, the hard drive is looking shaky, and the laptop is hitting a temp of 157 degrees. Darn, I hate getting new techie stuff - nothing is in the same place, etc.

So, I may be away for a bit. I have to organize my files to make the data transfer as easy as possible. I have some new Kipawa pics to post, but that will have to wait.

So, to all, see you soon! Will miss you - you are a great bunch of people!

  • Fran,
i don't know if yours has the same problem as mine but for a few weeks mine has been closing down by itself and overheating. It usualy started again after a rest but eventualy it switched itself and refused to start. We took it to the pc clinic and all it needed was a good clean out, it was full of dust. Fortunately it seems fine now. I was so lost without it.

  • Fran, it could be nothing more than a cleaning and new fan… get a 2nd opinion.

  • Fran..know that we are waiting for your return…hope your computer issues gets solved easily and inexpensively...see you soon. :)

Chelsie-the B's don't get a chance to see them. The B's are in the front in a pen and the ducklings and chickens are in the back. After Shadow decided to help me butcher a chicken when we first moved in, I thought it prudent to keep them separated. They would definitely terrorize them. Yes, Robyn, I made the duck tractor. It has wheels on the one end so I can move it around. I do have a duck pen, and they will go in it when I fix the duck house. It seems rats, or something decided to make a meal of the one end and floor of the house. So, I have to fix that. I do really like it, but it won't be big enough in a couple of weeks for them. I will try to get more pics of the little monsters today. (And, the pen will work very well for one of the dogs if I ever need it!!) Yes, they grow very, very fast. If I can get a pic of them up and about, you will see how it's very hard to tell which one had the spraddle legs. The rouens are bigger than the muscoveys. There are three rouens and they have an eye stripe. They are adorable :) Watson always gets identified as some sort of terrier. He has been a rat terrier and a toy fox terrier…

I enjoyed the video, whilst in Kefalonia snorkelling i saw several Octopi , i think they're fascinating creatures. The ones i saw stayed very still, don't think i'd of been so keen if one had shot towards me.

@JazzysMom: …but God and Rielly showed her who is really in control -- he was born almost exactly 24 hours before the scheduled C-section! hee hee I told her, 'Welcome to parenthood. Now you know exactly how much control you have over your life. " hee Now that is funny!;)
