Here's another…

  • Belinda the nice thing is they keep you loaded and moving. I take it your cross country and not on a route. O for the nice snow day's in New York. LOL…........

    Rita Jean

  • Oh, no, this Zest show was better. Way better. That was just yesterday and Saturday. I'll post more as soon as I get the youtubes up.

  • somewhere in Colorado, Golden Springs?

  • When I am typing away on my laptop Cody always tries to lay across the keyboard. I think he is jealous. I can't imagine if he was trying to lick me!

  • Okay I'm on tap with the Colorado part (pun intended) but I bet the city is Aurora.

  • In 1976, the Olympic Winter Games were supposed to be held in Denver, but at nearly the last minute, citizens of the State of Colorado voted to keep the Olympics out of the state. They were worried about the traffic, pollution and added population.

Beer runs down the east side of the Rockies during the Spring meltoff!:D

Deer Trail, CO hosted the World's First Rodeo.

Since the altitude of Denver is 5280 ft, (hence, Mile-High City) we are near there, but not actually in Denver. Our actual altitude is 191 ft higher than Denver.

We are in the city named for Aurora Borealis, the magnetic phenomenon that scientists have been studying for centuries and still not quite figured out. And it is correct that this beauty cannot be seen from here.

I almost used the state clue: A famous gun-fighter died in this state from tuberculosis, but I suppose everyone has seen the movie Tombstone. John "Doc" Holliday spent his last days in Glenwood Springs.

    Cheers!:D

My word! I can't believe the burrs here! Tenacious! Insidious!

  • @AJs:

My pet person took my picture on our way here.

    This one is city specific…

    First, the state:
Is the only state to ever turn down hosting the Olympics-by a vote of its citizens!
Has the most microbreweries per capita than any other state...beer, anyone?
The World's First Rodeo was held in this state on July 4, 1869.

    Now the city:
We are currently sitting at 5,471 feet above sea level!
This city was named for a beautiful magnetic phenomenon. (I sure wish I could see colors!)

    Cheers

Technically, you should be either in Asheville, NC or Portland OR since these two cities recently tied for having the most microbreweries per capita in the US. Sorry, I am a beer geek and CO has not been in the top spot for quite some time.

  • Ah, those are cities, not states. But thanks for the correct.

  • Just curious AJ's human since you drive a truck and travel a lot do you have a co-driver or is it just you and your dog? Does your Basenji always let you get the sleep you need?

    Jason

  • It's just AJ and I. He's great. Only time I've had a problem with him waking me up was when he was sick with the runs for three days. He would whine to wake me up and go outside.

Been there, done that. Gotta love those 3 a.m. wake-up calls, especially when its freezing outside.:)

If you leave things in their reach (any puppy/young dog) will get into trouble.... pick things up.... put them away, they do not know the difference between their toys/chews and things like remotes/glasses/etc... they have your scent on them. You have to work on crate training if you can't secure a place for them.

Snorky, Yes, Jason is very talented with the camera, although he won't agree if you ask him…so silly! Yes, Roo still fits in the bike trailer (Burley Tail Wagon.) Actually both dogs can go in it at the same time, there is a cloth divider so Bonzo doesn't have to put up with Roo's antics on the trip. Miranda

Sounds good! I'll check w/the vet, it soundslike putting super glue in cracks on feet and hands. I'll also look into something to keep him warm. I used to guide down in s Utah. I love that area. Everything east of Capital Reef onto the eastern slopes of Boulder Mt. Kicked around in the San Rafael Swell and down s Cedar Mesa during my off time. Beautiful area. Thanks agan. Greg

Yup, Blackbeard had the many wives-some accounts say 14. I think he was the original "woman in every port" that is often associated with saliors. Bath was where Blackbeard accepted his Pardon for his previous pirating crimes. After that it is said he retired. Well I guess being beheaded does slow you down a bit. :)
