I always do the full panel. The issue is that a partial, you still only have partial. And if you suspect issues, you end up running them anyway. Of course it helps that a full panel here is not that much more than a partial (I think it was a bit under 60 or 140 for full). LOL though I did full on Sayblee because she WOULDN'T eat and full on Arwen because she gets almost nothing to eat in order to keep weight down. Both were fine.

This evening I received news that the parents of one of the puppies I will be taking are both Fanconi clear.

Wonderful news!!! Huge sigh of relief, huh?

yes it is. I'm looking forward to bringing her home in the next few weeks.

Great news:D

Yes that is good news… but even at worst, because Gabii was already tested clear, the pups could have only been carriers.
-
Still though, all the pups are clear which means that the next generation will have a great start.

Yes that is true and as so, can be bred back to a carrier to preserve bloodlines. In truth, can even be bred back to an affected (would produce all carriers)… And that is the greatest thing about having a DNA test, we have the ability to not have to throw the baby out with the bath water...
Now if we can get DNA for PRA (eye blindness) that would be super....

Exactly! Hopefully soon PRA too.

Great news!
