Welcome and so sorry to hear about the health issues of your two B's…. Thank you for opening up your home to them... And Thank Goodness we now have DNA tests for Fanconi so that no Basenji ever has to suffer with this horrible affliction.
Hello

Hi,
My name is Jennifer Hill and I presently live in Ohio. I thought I was a member of this group but I guess I never registered!
I presently have 6 Bs, 3 of my own and 3 rescues. My own are a 7 month old red male, possibly Fanconi affected, a 7 year old red male, and a 9 year old red female, Fanconi affected. My rescues are a 1 year old red male, a 2 year old brindle male, and a 5 year old brindle female, mom to the 1 year old. All my rescues have tested Probably Clear for Fanconi via the DNA test. I have been lucky this past year.
I am active in rescue and lure coursing, although with the weather this past Spring, not very active in lure coursing at all this year. I also attend confirmation shows and attend the National each year. I do not presently own a dog that is actively showing but sometimes I will enter my Veteran at Specialities and/or the National.
