New reports on the dog show it is improving, not dead, Fran.
Ohhhhh…. I guess I just looked at the picture and thought that if an animal looked like that it HAD to be dead. Not sure if I can open the video - my heart just does not take well to stuff like that. When they show SPCA or animal shelter commercials on TV I usually change the channel. But I don't ignore animal shelters. We donate every year.

From the picture, I thought the baby was dead, too. How could someone…why would someone...? I just will never understand...
Blessings on this baby and his rescuer. The ba$tid who did this will get his/her comeuppance someday.

Those eyes are gorgeous. I wish he was closer to me so I could help. I hope he makes a full recovery.
Hugs to Patrick :)

It's really good to know that he is being helped and now hopefully will recover. Bless him, the poor dog. Humans can sink to some terrible depths.

My first thought: Are you $@#&*$% kidding me?!? What kind of a &#&$% !?$@# would do such a @%$ thing?!? If I could get my hands on this &@#$!? %^(@# )%!!?$ %#$@, I'd show 'em what a &#(% garbage bag is for and exactly how many orifices one #%@!& bag could simultaneously fit in!!
Some people are despicable!
Second thought: This is one amazing pup. The resilience of life never ceases to stun me.

Since I can't watch the video, can someone tell me what his name is on Facebook? I'd like to send a few dollars - anything that could help.

The abuser has been located and named, and charged with several accounts of animal abuse and neglect. It's appalling to me that she could be sentenced to a maximum of 6 months in jail, up to $1000 fine, and/or community service. Even the reward that was being offered for information about her far exceeded that fine! And somehow, I find it hard to believe that jail time will be either sentenced or enforced, given precedent in animal abuse cases…

For those that haven't watched the video, I decided to watch it this morning knowing he is doing so well. The video actually doesn't have graphic photos of him prioir to being rescued so it is not as disturbing as I thought.
However there is a second video on the site showing his progress over the past month, and it specifically addresses sending money. Seems people are profiting and not necessarily Patick is the one getting the benefit. They gave specific instruction for donations if you want to make sure it goes to the group that rescued Patrick. Sounds as if a donation in his name to your favorite shelter might be better spent, just my opinion from watching what the group says is happening with the donations and how much they already have.
