No problems, lets me learn for future reference which is always a good thing :) Kaia is still petite. I haven't weighed her in about 2 weeks or so, she had been hovering just a smidge under 18 lbs, she may have finally gone over that now. That's why I was hoping to put off until July, wanted to make sure she had plenty of time to grow because we weren't too sure if she grows slowly or if she'll just stay petite. But I look back on her first pictures with us and wonder when she got so big!

It was a very strange week for me. That day, I went out for my daily walk and two hours later I didnt have Rosie anymore.. It was awful, and I felt good for them, but at the same time I felt angry and wasn't sure if I should have waited a few days before returning her.. I hate when I make such quick decisions, I always wonder if I did the right thing. The next morning I'm driving to work and the phone rings ….. then I knew I had done the right thing, because they really had her well being in mind and they were very concerned that the Rottie would hurt her. and since we live close by, we see each other often now. I walk by their house , usually on weekends.....

I had nose surgery a few months ago and when I got home I was worried the dogs would be so excited and jump all on me, but it was crazy how mild mannered and dare I say tame/domesticated they were. I swear they knew I was hurt and gave me a day or so of good behavior. They are truly great dogs to own!

If you find that you have excessive collars/leashes, you may want to call your local shelter and see if they would like to have them. So many shelters run on such a shoestring budget, it might be something they'd be able to use but not afford…. Just a thought

There's no animal so resourceful as a hungry basenji. They were slighted you know for centuries being last in line at the cooking pot.
