    My first B, Shaka came to us 15 years ago today (Ides of March) and left us on 3/21/08 (on Good Friday) - this made me realize that his littermate brother (who we got 3 months after) , Yoda is actually 15 years old (and not 14 as I had thought)! He's still pretty energetic and looks young, but now I'm more concerned. Extra treats for him! ;-)

    Just keep doing what you have been doing… a 15 year old basenji is a testament to the care their owner is giving them. But yes, extra treats and kisses are a must!

    @ChaseandZahrasmom: Let's all just be thankful that B's are small dogs and not 110 Lbs beast! At least we can pick them up and tuck them under an arm and walk away with them while training! LOL! I have to do the same thing with Zahra sometimes. Amen! I was just thinking this earlier today while trying to control my pup…
