We adopted Bisa from Rugosa Basenji's back in May 2008. Bisa had her 3rd birthday on Christmas Day, 2009. Isn't she gorgeous!! We so love her and get such a kick out of her watching the computer when we pull up Basenji pages that have the sounds to them. :D
We hope to adopt another Basenji soon as we truly love the breed … another purebreed would be nice but a mix that doesn't shed and has mostly Basenji qualities would be okay too. Sakari, God bless her [rescue dog we had for roughly 4 1/2 years; passed away April 9, 2008] was a Basenji / JRT mix and she was quite the character too! !! :)

Happy B-day and welcome to the list. I know Vickie well and all the Rugosa Basenjis… you could not have gone to a better breeder..... and yes, she is very cute.... She must be from Vickie's litter sired by Charlie Brown... as I remember they were born on Christmas day

Vicki and her husband are wonderful people! I just emailed her tonight asking about another Basenji ... if she had one from Bisa's siblings for sale [or] knew of another older one [6 mo - 1 yr] for sale. Too, looking at rescue leagues as well online.
