I tried the link and there were several videos on octopi??? while i think octopi are amazing creatures (imagine a basenji with 8 suction cupped legs!), it's not what I was looking for.
Bendy head?

Is this the pose you were looking for of a Basenji resting her head on her back and looking at you?
-
Here is the picture again. I accidentally made it too small on the previous post.

I've never caught Gossy sleeping in the position of Malaika (up and over) but she does do the bendyhead generally when she's totally relaxed and doesn't want to move but wants to watch what's going on around her. Come to think of it, I've never seen another breed do this.
-
I haven't seen them do it either. Great pics, just not what I wanted. LOL I think I need a video cam on for a week or 2.

We call it the SEAL head… they twist it around to view stuff but do like a 360.. my husband thinks they look like linda blair on the exorsist... lol but they dont throw up.. usually. thank goodness.

Maya does the bendy head thing. She does this weird thing where she will come and sit on the sofa right next to me, leaning against me, but with her back to me and will completely ignore me til I say her name. As soon as i do she flips her head right up and over like Malaika!! VERY weird but it always makes me laugh. They have the strangest habits….!!

An old pic of Zuri
Not comfortable - in MY opinion
-
This is what makes them Basenjis.

Do they have some weird neck thing going on? Im fairly sure my other dogs would not be able to do this. I had assumed Maya was a bit double jointed But its obviously a basenji thing, not just a maya thing… Hmm.

Oh my gosh, I did not know this was a Basenji thing! Kahirah does that sometimes, I just thought it was just a weird thing she does.
