If my companion puppy is bought in the United States, but resides with me in Canada (I'm Canadian), will he be registered with the AKC or the CKG? I don't plan on breeding, but may enjoy obedience, coursing or therapy work.
@Rita:
They all are so very cute and I would cry for sure when they left for there new homes. Are you keeping any of them?
Rita Jean
Oh no :D, we already have 4 Bs at home and I think it is enough for this time. But I'm planning to keep one from upcoming litters :).
But of course I would love to keep one of them :rolleyes::D.
Not seen this article three years ago last Oct we had to have blood for our cat. Cat's have blood types some what like people blood was not cheap. We tell him he got trash can kitty blood because after blood he wanted to eat table food never like that before. We also learned about blood when our akita was sick one was plasma and I do recall name of the other but it was really only good for 24 hours.

It's a step in the right direction. This is a lawmaking function that should be reserved to the states individually, according to the 10th Amendment anyway. Dogs are not livestock and are not going to be used for food. Therefore, USDA does not really have a stake in regulating them. USDA garners its power under the "Regulate Commerce" clause of the Constitution's Preamble, a section that was never intended to carry the weight of law. (See Federalists Paper #41.)
Also, as they are so cat like, folks don't understand their not "listening". So the corrections get harsher and harsher.
Sigh.
Education is the key for folks…until they do, we will have many dogs in the wrong homes.
