She is really cute though I don't see Basenji. Like Shirley said, only a DNA can tell you much for certain.

No idea, sometimes with mixes it's so hard to tell what the parentage is. I do think that your dog's head is a bit more refined than many of the pit mixes i've seen.

I agree with the others that although he seems to have Basenji in him - his head is def. not Basenji. As for the leg I'd have it amputated if it troubles him - He'll cope with 3 legs I'm sure, but certainly consult a specialist first. Please keep us updated.

After striking out with my first 2 B's I figured I'd give my other love a try! She is wonderful so far, potty training is kicking our butt..as with any puppy. We have only had her a week yesterday so I'm sure this is gonna be fun! She is giving us (my gf and I, our 3 cats and Sid) a run for our money! Sid is very jealous though, which is what we wanted. We need him to desire attention instead of just laying around all day long. Wish us luckkkk with the ol' man.

We got Killian from a breeder in Ohio–-Jim Edgerton. That's where he had gotten our previous male basenji. We took Logan and Jasmine to his place and looked at several 1 year olds and a puppies and Jasmine eliminated the others and we agreed with her pick.

Very cute pictures. I'm glad you posted these pictures. For some reason, I thought a Lowchen was a much bigger dog. Alfie is so adorable and of course Bandit is too. Bandit looks very young, wrinkles and all. I know all about those sharp teeth, my husband and I were Sahara's chew toy for awhile. She is almost 9 mos. and has pretty much stopped that behavior, except when we are playing with her. Same here too! I love that quote about feeling like the "walking wounded". That was funny. My hands used to hurt just looking at my feisty little baby toothed puppy. I can relate to that for the first couple months we had Duke. He is crossing his 9th month of life too. Not bad at biting anymore either, except for play. We worked on his biting habit for about a month in July/August. He's gotten the message about hurting me and playing nice. Ahhhh!
