Please help. I have lost my seven-month old basenji. Her name is Dot. She is a red and white, mostly red, with a white dot on the back of her neck.
I am new to the forum and will post pictures as soon as I can figure out how (my pics are too big…?). I have two other red and whites, Sofia and Femi. We all desperately miss Dot and want her back more than anything in this world. Dot and Sofia climbed the fence on August 17, and Sofia returned, but Dot did not. We live in the country far from busy roads. I have alerted surrounding neigbors with flyers; I have used LostMyDoggie.com to place lost pet alert calls to 250 of my neighbors; I check the pound, the humane society, all the vets regularly. I walk every evening in a different location after work with one of my other senjis...looking for Dot, hoping she'll smell us and find her way home. She was not wearing her collar and for that I am most sorry. The guilt over losing her is so painful. I have to get her back. Please, please help us. Is there anything else I should do?
