Just a bit of news, Poppy and I won Junior, Graduate, BOB and Reserve Best Puppy in Show at South Eastern Hound Club Open Show at Hickstead yesterday. The breed judge was Deborah Diamond and the BIS & BPIS judge was Marie Bryce-Smith.
The show has a lovely laid back atmosphere and we will certainly be looking forward to it next year. It was sponsored by the Basenji Club and we all bring food, drink and gazebos etc. I would recommend it next year to anyone, as social events are rare in Basenjis these days.
The weather was mixed and was very cold and windy during the BIS & BPIS judging, Poppy did not do badly for a fed up, frozen shivering Basenji!
Steve.

Whoops sorry Steve :o
No worries, as I say it is easily done. I expect if I look back through my previous posts I have typed the same.
I always notice some mistakes I have made whenever I review what I have posted, especially if they were done late at night after a few drinks! :D

@Rita:
Way to go… Did everyone get warmed back up?
Rita Jean
Some poor chilled people had to leave before the end and I think some needed the help of a medicinal drink when they got home to warm up!
I was ok as I have ample natural insulation!:D

My granny always called that a (hot toddy). Hope I spelled that correctly. She always said nothing like it to warm you up.
Nothing wrong with natural insulation.

I thought the b stood for Basenji and you had invented a new word for a happy or exciting event concerning one!:D
Thanks Shelley.

I am sure most in the UK already know this but, Poppy and I had another good day at Richmond yesterday under Kay Eldred from Australia.
We came home with a small green card and a green and white rosette. The green card was actually green and white and a Reserve Challenge Certificate and the rosette was for Best Puppy!!!
Needless to say we are delighted with these results against such quality opposition!
