My name is Jane and I am new to this forum. I live in Wellington, New Zealand and have a little basenji girl (7 years old) named Jala. My parents also own two basenjis so I guess it runs in the family.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. No Jala doesn't like water :rolleyes: very typical basenji! We take her to a dog park that happens to be next to a river and all the other dogs get right into the water of course and she will stop knee deep. :D I will post some piccies of her playing in the dog park in the piccie section.

Welcome…I spent about 3 months in New Zealand in 1995 (came when NZ won the America's Cup). Your pictures are beautiful and brought back a lot of memories. A perfect place for a basenji :)
