    SPAZ Jack! I only cought the end of it. Im sure you know what im talking about when i say, TEARING thru the house around corners onto couchs SPRINGING off running too fast and sliding across the floor and into the walls, lol. There is even a little yodel in there for you all!!! LOL! ENJOY!!!

    Your video was great. Looks like my house!!!!! These guys are crazy. But fun. I watched the other video's as well. Did you?? Watch them if not. They are so funny. This is a great breed. To much fun!!!!!! Keep your photo's and video's coming. I love them!!!!! Jack looks like my first Basenji who past last year, so it is fun to watch him. brings back memories of her. Thanks!!

    That is a great video and Jack is an angel for going that speed in your house.

    I find with a puppy in the house with my basenji adult that they are going mach speeds. I look and all I see is the curtain blowing in the wind and they are gone.

    Great video- He's such a great dog.

    Our like to run in circles around the dinning room table, on the carpet. It sounds like a train!

    Our used to run sideways on the couch.

    I love Jack's vocalizations.

    :) Jack is so cute! Toby does this too. It is the highlight of his day, I say do you want to run? And open the bedrooom door, OFF he goes! The problem is I have hardwoods and he slides around corners! He trys to hop from the rug in the living room to the rug in the hall and up to the bed, runs in circles, and starts all over in the living room! They are so much fun and what a joy to have and love!

    I agree with the others that although he seems to have Basenji in him - his head is def. not Basenji. As for the leg I'd have it amputated if it troubles him - He'll cope with 3 legs I'm sure, but certainly consult a specialist first. Please keep us updated.

    @Lovelace: Really? What ones? I don't know of any that have all the criteria? I've done extensive research on the breeds, and i'm curious I don't recall any. I think Pat means lots of dogs have one or more of these traits. Those three things all together MAY be an indication that the dog does have some basenji in it…but not for sure. Because the dog could be a boxer/husky mix...and end up with right color/markings, pointy ears, a curly tail, and have wrinkle on the forehead (lots of dogs have wrinkles around the face). Rat terriers are notorious for looking like Basenjis...but the shape of their head is slightly different, and the breed was founded using some Basenji way back. Another thing to remember is that after several generations of mixing, all dogs tend to go back to a natural or pariah dog shape...squarish, brown, pointy ears, slightly curled tail...that is just the natural phenotype of "dog"...so a dog might end up looking Basenji-ish even if there is no actual Basenji there. I am not refering specifically to the OP...that dog does look like it might have some Basenji in it..or Rat terrier...but it is REALLY hard to say for sure. It doesn't matter really, because everyone is welcome here...Basenji, mix, B-look alike...welcome...

    We got Killian from a breeder in Ohio–-Jim Edgerton. That's where he had gotten our previous male basenji. We took Logan and Jasmine to his place and looked at several 1 year olds and a puppies and Jasmine eliminated the others and we agreed with her pick.

    Thank you very much for the info. I will have to try the time out. He was crate trained as far as being house broken, but now when I put brownie in the crate all he does is whine.. I do have 2 older dogs. one that plays with him and the other, well he just growls at brownie. The mother that was there when I got Brownie was a white shepard, maybe that is where the broad nose comes in.
