Speaking as a crazy Basenji Lady with a Big Bones boy-cause he is Swedish and it gets cold there ! You are perfectly normal Darling!
Mustang "Gunner"

Gunner is almost 2 yrs old. We adopted him earlier this year through BRAT. He's been an awesome companion and doing great! It was a little dicey early on with our cat D'Artagnan, but all is good and they are now best friends!

He is a beauty!
Nice to see another trindle

Handsome boy! And congrats to you for opening your home and your life to a rescue dog.
LOVE the last picture of him peeking through the tree.

That one is a classic! Perfect framing, the catch light in the eye is just right!

Thank you! I love the last image as well! Believe it or not, that is taken with my iPhone! I have a nice camera, but getting pictures like this from him are challenging. The iPhone is always with me, so it's the best way to capture the impromptu shots.

I agree, the one through the leaves is superb. Well done for giving a lovely boy a forever home.

And that is the key to those wonderful pictures…...have a camera with you! I have a great DSLR, but it is impractical to haul around everywhere. So I carry a modest point & shoot when I am out in the woods and fields. Not perfect, but at least I get a picture. A great shot, to me, is about the feeling evoked by it, more than how technically good it is. (although really nice when you get both!)

Tag these for next year's BRAT calendar contest, you have some winners there. Love the last one, and the ones on the stairs too, of the 2 best buddies.
-
Was he being fostered in Des Moine by any chance? If so, I think our dogs may have had the same foster mom!

You betcha… Lindy is Gunner's Foster Mom. She's awesome! What is the name of your Basenji?

Thank you…I will do that!

She IS awesome!! My Basenji's name is Cody. I saw Gunner listed and Lindy filled me in on his first adoption attempt. Sounds like he's found a great new home!

Yeah, his first year and a halfwas rough! But he now knows he has his forever home. Cody looks like a handsome boy!

CUTE pictures! The last one is really great, really dramatic.

Thanks! So is Gunner! I remember when I saw him posted I was so tempted! But we got Cody even though we swore we wouldn't have more than two dogs (now we have three), so I think I am set for a while. I should just stop looking at the BRAT site, but I do love looking at all of those Bs (and of course, it doesn't help that Lindy posts her new fosters!).

Congratulations on your rescue - such big ears.

He's so handsome! I agree, the last shot is amazing, but I also love the first picture. There's just something about pics of basenjis laying in the sun….
