  • Ah hahaha!!! Revenge of the Basenji Scorned! MWUAHAHAHAHA

    giggles

  • Having a hard time recovering from that one. Excellent story!

  • I remember the first time my now ex husband punished my first basenji. The next morning when he put his slippers on he stepped right into a nice pile of poo. The dog also whizzed on his pillow in revenge!!

  • Cyrus also "punishes" us in bed. Cyrus likes to sleep under the covers. Sometimes Hemi (55lbs keep in mind) and I (God forbid I would use the covers) are laying on the covers, making it impossible for Cyrus to tunnel underneath. Cyrus walks onto my pillow and starts digging in my long hair as if it is kitty litter. He has actually ripped pieces out! Very naughty!

  • That is too funny :D
Basenji's have a way to keep us in line. When I punish our boy Chance he will jump on his hind legs and box me in the face too. :o

  • Great story! I can relate…I had to visit the eye doctor last year for a corneal abrasion because of a similar incident with Manning. =)

  • I hadn't read this thread before – and the responses are sooooo funny :D

  • Our little angel scratched my back the other night because I had not lifted the covers fast enough for her highness to go to her favorite spot, under the covers and in the crook of my legs!

  • They sure do know how to get our attention don't they.
No "suffering is silence" for this breed.

My dog had an adverse reaction to the Heartworm edible I gave her, do you possibly give one? if so is it maybe related to that? I had to switch brands and she still doesnt feel well for 1 to 2 days after I give it, but it is not as bad as the other brand. Her symptoms were changes in consistency and color and frequency of bowel movements, she didnt eat, and didnt want to be bothered. And she ate grass.

You can find a lot of puppy collars at thrift shops for pretty cheap - would never pay full price for one. I'm getting mine at 14 weeks and was told that 8-12 inches was what was being used - then at 4- 6 months graduate to 10-14 inch collar.

I had nose surgery a few months ago and when I got home I was worried the dogs would be so excited and jump all on me, but it was crazy how mild mannered and dare I say tame/domesticated they were. I swear they knew I was hurt and gave me a day or so of good behavior. They are truly great dogs to own!

I'm afraid If I do decide to get another I won't have a chance to introduce them beforehand as it Will probably be a puppy I bring from the US.. I doubt there will be a problem since she will be a young puppy…
