Hi John! My Binti will only consent to have her nails ground and only with treats (she gets one per paw.) She hated it at first but once we had the routine established, she settles right into it. The only thing I would say about using the grinder is keep pausing to feel the claw. I once had a "groomer" who was in a hurry hold the grinder to Binti's claw too long and the friction built up heat which burned her enough to make her yip. We started doing it at home after that.0_1609705288646_1Binti orchids1.jpg

Hello everyone!
So glad I found this site; it is full of so much information. I am a first time Basenji owner. I have a 3 1/2 month old female, "Jetta". I would love to get invovled lure coursing with her. Looking for any information about lure clubs or training in So. California. -
Welcome to you and Jetta! I'm sure some of the Calif. folks will give you information for your local area. She is a very pretty pup!

Welcome to you and your new Basenji puppy. Who did you get her from? Many of us are related by our Basenjis here.
You can check out www.asfa.org and www.akc.org for coursing clubs and trials in So. California.
