New PUPPY! (with photos…)

Show Off Your Dog
  • What a gorgeous face. Someday I'd like a puppy exactly like her. Beautiful pictures, too. My favourite was the very first one on the blog. Too cute. Look forward to seeing more pics as she grows. Will she get to "play show-dog"?

  • Super cute…congrats on the new addition. I'm sure you're finding out that 2 basenjis are just so much fun. BTW, I love the black & whites!!!

  • She is just beautiful - I'm sure Shaun and your new puppy will be the best of buddies. Little girls tend to love older "brothers."

  • Congrats on the new addition!!!

We have similar stories, I started out with my r/w boy and 12 months later my b/w girl came along!!!

Looking forward to photos & stories on the blog.

    Is this Lil's puppy?

  • Yes, this is Lil's puppy. Do you know Katie?

  • @SeattleMax:

Oh yes, remembering our dear departed friends whilst enjoying the company of our current hounds…

    Bitter sweet, no?

I was asking this question to Sherri the other day: "how much money would you spend to have just one afternoon on a warm day with Shala and Mojo together again, romping in warm field - and meeting & playing with Shaun (and now Mbali)???"

I bet most of us have this fantasy: having your current pets meeting your departed (from this world) pets from yesteryear, just for one glorious afternoon...

    What a lovely idea :)
Congratulations on your new addition Mbali

  • @SeattleMax:

Yes, this is Lil's puppy. Do you know Katie?

Yes, I met Katie about a year and a half ago when I started showing my first basenji. She has been very supportive of my journey into the competitive dog world. I wasn't at the Evergreen Basenji Club show this past August when Shaun made his debut, perhaps we will meet at a show or lure coursing event sometime :)

    I a red/white boy named Dude and a b/w girl named Ono.

Looking forward to seeing & hearing about your furkids adventures!

  • Cool!

Shaun's sister already has her championship and competed at Westminster! We are so the luke warm slackers on the show dog stuff.

We are interested in trying the lure coursing this summer though…

  • Lure coursing is a BLAST, my dogs LOVE it! It is the coolest thing watching their instincts kick in and you can see how much fun they are having when they are out there running.

My dogs sister was at Westminster as well, it was fun watching it and rooting for friends & 4-legged relatives :)

  • Congratulations! And enjoy :)

  • Love that "innocent" little face. LOL!!

  • I look forward to meeting you and your 2 b's ringside one of these days.

  • Such cuties. Makes me want a third one!!!

She is so cute! Congratulations - she looks just like my Shaye did except for that really darling little tri-color tail! Like all babies, they are adorable so they will live to be adults.:o

We're just back from another ringcraft session. Not too bad but still got lots of work to do. Milo not bad on the floor once he settles down but still really unsettled on the table. Time and patience i think :-) Thanks Scott, will be nice to speak next time at same venue. Theresa

@hdolbow: he wasnt too happy with me, or her, at first… now they play... he can jump on the bed or couch to get away if he wants time to himself...he wont lay next to her yet shes starting to mimic him.. if hes laying in the sun on the couch, she'll lay on the floor with the sun shining in the window.. :) i think he would like her more if she wasnt into biting everything lol And until she looses those teeth… there will be lots of times he is not happy with her... but the one nice thing about having an adult B in the house is that he will teach her "biting" manners much better then we humans ever can...
