You'll find out who's adopted who over time…this forum is a great way to get familiar with (although from the "nut case" comment, it sounds like you're already on your way...) and learn and of course, share all things "Basenji". Thank you all for your welcoming words! I'm learning alot by reading your posts. Sounds like some of the things I think are "weird" about Haley are actually normal for Basenjis…...but, a few things may be uniquely HER. I'm trying to figure out if she has separation anxiety or is just MAD at me when I leave the house without her.......I'm going to try a few things that I've read in this forum. Thanks everyone!

hee-hee Yes, I 'spose so! Unfortunately Haley was the only family member who DIDN'T get to attend the wedding. We were married on the steps of the Sacramento capitol building…..only my 2 sons and my husband's 3 sons attending. I'm so glad my step-dog is a girl!! ha-ha

Welcome Sadie! Yes, she may be quite mad when you leave. :) After all those years in a house loaded with testosterone, she probably feels she's found her estrogen soul mate :D.
An online Basenji dictionary would not have a definition for "weird". It would just say "see 'Normal', 'Attention Getting', 'Innate Behavior', 'Prozak'," and be supported by google ad pop-ups for king size beds, toilet paper sales, underwear outlet stores, and indestructible dog toys (which we all know only exist in fantasy land). :D:D
