    Hi everyone. Thank you for your kind messages. I just wanted to update everyone; as of Saturday, September 12, Mowgli went to live with Rebecca and Keith of America's Basenji Rescue in Indianapolis, IN.

    They are so loving to all their animals and do a good job finding them loving homes. Mowgli was taken out of a very scary, very detrimental environment and now will be in a loving rescue until he'll find his forever home.

    @tanza: You are correct, accidents happen even with responsible breeders, but that doesn't mean that health testing of those pups should be any different than a pure bred litter. Mix breeds can have eye problems just as much as pure breds. That is correct, those mixed pups got the exact same treatment as our purebloods, and the buyers, got the complete Basenji handbook that I had put together years and years ago. And you are correct any dog, pure or mixed, needs to be vetted yearly.

    A litter box sounds like the way to go. Thanks! @tanza: How much longer till you bring your girl home???? Must be getting close now? Nemo and I are going down to get the puppy on the 28th, at 10.5 wks. Yeah! :D We still don't know which one yet. After Sue picks her keeper, there is only 2 left.

    @Barklessdog: We got our dogs a little bed for the family room for christmas and I snapped a couple of pics of our Tri. The other dog came over and.. [image: basketcase.jpg] She heeded the warning and went away while I kept playing with him, no scuffle. A child is going to have know theses signs as well. This is how Tyler looks when he has settled in to sleep and Zoey wants to come in an "nest" before she settles. Zoey has learned to heed the warning also and doesn't disturb Ty when he's already settled.
