Halloween Costume

our male basenji who doesn't really mind being dressed up goes trick or treating every year to our vet's office. We bring a big pumpkin filled with candy for the staff. He gets lots of ooh's and aah's and they get the candy. He gets treats from the staff. It makes for a fun vet visit instead of the ususal. This year he will be a devil, very appropiate for a basenji. If our little girl would tolerate a costume she could be the "angel" that she really isn't
Fun is had by all. -

Fun is had by all. This is a great idea! I may have to borrow so that the furkids can have a nice visit to the vet that doesn't involve a themometer!

A black eye!! A little theatrical grease paint will do the trick!! You could do the referee dress up part and pose lifting the winning paw high in the air:D (That would steady him for the photo op as well)
Edit with another thought…..The boxing shorts could have that wide band they wear with the sponsoring companies logo front and center on his tummy when he stands up to be named the "champ". (That might be considered pandering, but alls fair in love and costume contest, right???)
Love the tips! I will definitely have to do the black eye :p
Only issue I am having is finding some darn shorts for him!!! The only ones I can find are either valour pants or denim. Anyone know where I can get shorts that at least somewhat resemble boxing shorts?

How about this….....Hanes makes toddler size boxer briefs in white. You could dye them any color and nip in the waist band. Then measure your b and purchase extra wide elastic, cover with a contrasting remnant material and a small tab of velcro for the corporate logo (or say an Everlast logo or a cute play on your b's name). Use as a false waist band over the top of the briefs. Print off a nice, large colored corporate logo (or whatever) and laminate to cardboard (3M tape will work for this) Put the other side of the velcro on the back of the logo and slap it on the "boxing shorts" at the last minute!!!
Cheap and easy. Could very easily resemble these... http://www.robbinssports.com/sporting-goods-store/images/everlast-boxing-elite-performance-trunks-usa-boxing-gear.jpg
Good luck!!

We got a jailbird (b&w stripes) costume for She-Ra. Pretty appropriate if you think about it. I'll try and snag a picture or two to put on here…

I actually changed my idea for Dallas. I decided to win this thing I need to go bigger. :D He is now going to be a parrot! I found a kids parrot costume online that I am just going to alter a bit to fit him. I am also using my amazing boyfriend, who is dressing up as a pirate. Once they are both dressed they will pose like in this photo:
