• @wizard:

Congrats - I don't think I could keep up with that amount of playing 🙂

Hah! I barely could & I'm only 22. I know I fell asleep VERY quick even though it was only 10:30 (about an hour earlier than I normally go to bed) because I was exhausted from chasing him around. I suppose it's a good thing for both of us though since we both end up ready for bed & crashing easily 😉

  • i got ya beat 😃 11p-6a

I'm so jealous! Although right now, I am just grateful he fell asleep without the tantrum!

LOL had to chime in I got you all beat Tiggy from the day he came home would sleep from 1030 to 6ish and weekends about 8 😉 thats the time we go to bed, he'd actually fall asleep about 9, then up to potty and a romp of about 10-15 minutes and back to bed

Okay now I'm really jealous! Dallas thankfully will go back to bed (at least he did this past weekend) & slept again until around 10!

  • looks like i will be getting my new little guy next saturday, and then i get to have "fun" like you two . so i am going to take advantage of my chances to sleep in while i can 😃

  • Who are you getting your new little guy from? Color??? Inquiring minds want to know… especially those of us that didn't get or have puppies this year, we miss that wonderful puppy breath!

  • these are her when she just goes to lay down on her own before its actually bed time.. lol idk how they can sleep so stiff!

nina..notice what shes laying on! 😃

  • Aw that is so cute! Dallas sometimes sleep with his legs stiff as well. I have yet to get him to go into his crate to sleep on his own! I tried the soothing dog again last night but Dallas wasn't interested in the least. I managed to move him gently from the couch to his crate though without him waking up so he didn't whine last night at first because of that.

Is that a dog bed under her or a blanket?

  • lol well… in her cage it is layered liek this:

-a towel to line the bottom
-a white doggy bed the size of the crate that has sides
-another towel on top of that
    then..
-a little green round doggy bed on one side
-ANOTHER towel on the other side lol
-a pair of dans sweatpants that he cut off of himself because they got on his nerves... (haha i know.. he's an odd boyfriend)

shes got a lot of toys in there too.. her kong wubba, a hippo, a rope, and a stuffed bone.

Hm…I suppose what dog could resist a crate layered like that? Dallas has a huge blanket, then a giant teddy bear, a small pillow & a fleece blanket (that I've been wrapping him up in to put him in the crate). He still won't go in unless he's being fed or given treats :p I don't know what else to try to convince him that the crate is a good place.

Do you crate her when you leave the house? If so, do you leave all that stuff in there with her?

  • yep. i go to college every day during the week and shes in there while im there.. her cage is always jam packed with stuff.. she gets treats when i leave/before bed. we leave the door open, and she goes right in herself when shes sleepy and not on the bed with us..

i am getting him from linda ferguson in delaware. its where mantis got her little boy cairo from. he is a black and white

  • Can't wait to see another black/white puppy! Of course, I'm partial for the color. However, I haven't ever seen a puppy I didn't love. Good luck neffjohn. Start a new thread with details and pictures …. please???

Who is the pup's Sire and Dam? Not familar with that breeder.

  • how exciting for you - what is her kennel name - have we seen her dogs out at shows etc etc etc.

  • The name is familiar, but I don't know why!

Hopefully all health testing was done for your pup including DNA for Fanconi. Anyone that would knowingly breed a litter for the Fall of 2007 without testing first is IMO, not a responsible breeder as there is no excuse….. OK off the soapbox!

  • I just posted this link in a different thread but feel so strongly that all potential puppy buyers should read this that I am posting it again here. Anyone who is purchasing a puppy this year should read this short and very heartfelt article about why the DNA test for Fanconi is so important and why you should only support breeders who have done the testing.

  • Linda where is that from - I would love to add a link to it from my website!
