Just arrived minutes ago:

SHERWOOD'S RED BARON , cpp # 2430 tested PROBABLY CLEAR/NORMAL FOR FANCONI SYNDROME

None of Baron's 9 offspring (from 2 litters) will develop Fanconi Syndrome!

Awwww what a wicked Mum. Your guilt levels must be through the roof. I bet you didn't tell her what you where up to before you left the car.
I always tell George that I won't be long, or I'll be back soon or even wait there I'll be back. I often forget something and leave George in the car and nip back indoors. His eyes never leave the spot where I disappeared.

Interesting that the Vet said check up by only the regular Vet? While I don't cerf every year as long as there are no problems, I do CERF every other year and then when about 10yrs, every year.

Pat, yes, that's what he said, and I am sorry I didn't question him about his comment.

As I'm very diligent with health care for my pets, and as I respect your knowledge, I think I'll take up your schedule. The cost is minimal for the prevention of any problems.

After looking at that, it shows that my answer would be:
Clear pups ONLY means that neither parent is affected, and that does not change with multiple clear pups. The only thing that shows any determination of the parents is a test of the parent themselves (or if their grandparents are clear).

correct. The more clear pups (with no affecteds or carriers) you had from the breeding of the same two animals, the more LIKELY it is that the parents are clear…but it certainly would not be a for sure.

Funny you guys mention this as today Dallas had his third vet appointment for his puppy shots [rabies, etc] & when the vet found out I was feeding Merrick's he didn't like it. He kept trying to convince me that Purina, Euk & Science Diet are the best & that Merrick's is too new to really have the quality of food that Euk & the others have been "perfecting for centuries". I like this guy but it kind of annoyed me actually. :mad:

He said he would switch him back to Euk if he were me & also said that if I choose to stay with Merrick's I should at least have him on their puppy blend not the regular because of the extra stuff pups need. I didn't bother to mention the fact that adult Merrick's have more protein, fat, etc than any commerical puppy kibble :rolleyes: Less fillers & more concentrated…sounds better in my opinion.

Oh & also, I mentioned adding fish oil to his kibble & he said it "wasn't necessary" & that his dry skin in his ears is because I am swbbing them too frequently. That actually may be the case [too much cleaning on my part] but the fish oil could never hurt right? 😕

Sometimes Gypsy seems to have seizures in her sleep. Not the kind of movement wherein you guess she's chasing rabbits in her dreams or something. She does that also, but sometimes it looks very much like a seizure.

VERY nerve-wracking.
