    I would say that if one had planned to get a pup before this all occurred, then perhaps it would be good timing, as it would give one the opportunity of spending more time with the pup in the crucial early days. Of course things will change and the routine will be different, but there are ways to ease into the new schedule so it isn't an abrupt shift from always being there to suddenly being absent.

    Check out this video of 9 week old Jaroufa's Glamazon at Rift Valley is quite the agility queen. She went to her new home today thanks to my good friend/ driver and combat tracking mentor, Frank Merritt.     I live in Culver city and WBL is right, they have no dog pound. They do use the Carson Shelter and I would think a B would have already been rescued from there by Karen from the So Cal Basenji Rescue.

    Thanks for the site.. We are looking to adopt an older B (or two). I read over the info, we are adopting for those reason exactly. We not get as many years with them but it is quality not quanity as tough as that maybe when the time comes. You can't live your life thinking about the END!
