New Member, New to Basenjis

My husband and I got our first Basenji about a month and a half ago. We are totally in love with all of his Basenjiness. He about 4.5 months old now and also named Dexter…from the showtime show. We have been on this forum reading threads when we have had questions and have found it to be very helpful. Thank you all for that!
Welcome, who did you get your Basenjis from? Many of us are related by our Basenjis.

Welcome and congrats. LOL, um you consider you may have "jinxed" yourself with naming him after a killer… Now, when he kills your furniture, belongings etc... slap yourselves on the head for that! :)

I do actually think I have a couple of people on here who are related to my Basenji. We got him from Dr. Jo Thompson. Dexter aka Lukuru Constellation Orion is one of the Lukuru puppies.
We are hoping the only things Dexter sees is worth "killing" is his toys…of which he has plenty. :)

Fran, I have actually met your little man Kipawa. Russ and I got into touch with Dr. Jo through Kevin and Therese. We were going to get one of their puppies but their litter was all spoken for and they asked if we would be interested in a Lukuru pup…the answer of course was "YES!".
We went to their house to meet some pups and for them to met us. Kipawa was in the litter we got to meet and play with.
