Oh, I was just reminded of this one this morning. The hair dryer! Whenever I blow-dry my hair, Becca runs into the bathroom to make sure that she gets her fair share of the warmth of the blow-drier. I'll dry my hair then put it on her for a bit and this cycles until I am done…..then she runs back to bed.

If they do, it could be because they want to feel more like part of the family, or it's just a particular animal's personality and that animal was matched with the person meant for it.

@Natalplum: You both are in my thoughts. I hope your DH comes home safe and healthy. You will NEVER be lonely with your B's around. They are the best to call on for some love and comfort. Not to mention a lot of laughs! That's the best thing having a B brought into my life. I was so depressed, and then along came a B to make me laugh again. Worth their weight in gold, for sure….

Hi and yes there is a small group of us here in LA. We meet up on Saturday's around 10ish at the Laurel Cyn Dog Park. The park is a good size located on a hill side with lots of tree's and benches. If the weather is nice we average about 5 Basenjis. It would be wonderful if you are able to swing by one day. While you try not to, I am miserably failing at the same thing. I am literally sobbing in my cubicle. Really great story.

I may take you up on that - if I can't get in where I typically stay and am familiar with. I've stayed in a couple of dives that I'd not care to return too. Seems like even if it's 'high' season - I should be able to risk waiting until I get there to see what the weather is like - I could go down to Fort Myers - I did that once before when it was too rainy and gloomy in Tampa area. I may just get one night somewhere certain and then just decide when I get there. Doesn't bother me much but hubby is a bit less willing to risk it.
