Birthday pictures: Tillo and Pip in the snow

Show Off Your Dog
  • We were at my mom's place this weekend and made two long walks with Tillo and Pip. BF took some pics.

    The first walk was near my mom's house.. I love it there and when I still lived with my mom I took daily walks to this place to enjoy the view..

    The church (one of many in this village)

    Really Dutch ;)

    The dogs :D

    :D

    With Tillo

    Waiting for us

    Fetching his scarf :D

    Playing together

    Trying to catch a bird

    After this Tillo tried to catch a duck that was on the ice.. and fell right through it, so we headed home quickly ;)

    In the afternoon we went to Groeneveld castle which is also a beautiful place to walk around.

    Handsome Pip

    Tillo thinking about getting on the ice again.. :eek:

    Playing with a Lab

    The humans had fun too :D

    :)

    More friends to run around with

    That was it :) I think Tillo enjoyed his birthday a lot! (except for the falling through the ice part :D ;))

  • Beautiful pictures of Tillo and Pip, looks like Tillo enjoyed his birthday (apart from falling through the ice)!

  • You guys always take the most incredible pictures. I love the Holland scenery. My roots are from there - my Dad (already passed) was Dutch - born near Bergen Op Zoom.

  • Forgot to ask, Janneke - where did you get Tillo's coat from? Is it waterproof as well? We get a lot of rain here, not as much snow. I just love how "rough and tough" it looks. And since we are a long ways away from each other, I doubt we would ever experience a "who wore it better" incident. :)

  • Lovely pics Janneke especialy the windmill and the one of Pip on the bench, i could see that on a Christmas card.

  • @Kipawa:

    So you're 'one of us' for 50%! ;) Have you ever visited the Netherlands? Did your dad move to Canada during the war? Quite a few did..

    Tillo's coat is from Hurtta. It is also waterproof :) Hurtta has great stuff! Here a link: http://www.hurttacollection.com/home

  • Yes, my Dad came to Canada after the war. As a young man he spent time in the Dutch army in Indonesia fighting insurgents. Indonesians at the time were trying to gain independence from Holland. He returned to Holland from Indonesia and wound up coming to Canada.

    I love my Dutch heritage. We actually live in a community (suburb) of the Vancouver, Canada area where a number of Dutch people live. Interestingly enough, our area is full of dykes that were built in the early 1900's. It will be great to walk along them with Kipawa.

    I love hearing the Dutch accent - it reminds me of my Dad. A number of the shops in our area are owned by Dutch people. Every year I buy my garden flowers from a Dutch family who has been involved in horticulture for years. Oh yes, how the Dutch love their gardens!

    Thanks for the link to the Hurtta coats. They look the best that I have seen, and I have been searching for quite some time. I like that they have a rough and rugged look about them. Some dog coats are rather ridiculous (excluding Hallowe'en, which is allowed for one day) :)

  • These are really nice pics!! That shot looking down the road with the snow covered trees is amazing.

  • Wonderful pictures…I love looking at Tillo and Pip in the snow. :)

    I love Tillo's coat!! I wish I could order one from that website but they don't sell them :( You know how much Sonny wishes he could be just like Tillo ;)

    I could become a retailer of course and send them to you all :D

  • Those pictures, as always, are wonderful. The dogs seem to be playing in a Fairyland almost. Wish there was a Hurtta dealer in America!

    It's lovely to hear about your Dutch part :) If you are ever thinking about visiting the Netherlands, you are more than welcome here!
    And I believe we are pretty good with flowers ;)

    Can't wait to see pics of Kipawa on the dykes! If you want a Hurtta coat, but can't order it in Canada, let me know..!

  • I love that website- such a shame they don't have retailers in the US… I would likely go a little order crazy!

    They aren't the cheapest.. so I think that would stop you ;) :D

  • Great Birthday Photos, love Pip in his red scarf! The scenery is amazing, I see why you love it there.

  • Been away for a while but … here I am again !

    Strange ...:confused:

    I'm living in Belgium, close to the Dutch border, but instead of buying one of these beautiful Hurtta coats
    (Tillo, you look gorgeous in it !!) I bought one, also very beautiful, for Bendji in Canada. :o

    The Great White North Winter Coat (size 16S for Bendji) came from "Chilly Dogs" :

    http://www.chillydogs.ca/

    So if you:

    • like their collection;
    • need it fast;
    • and don't want to bother Janneke (although I'm convinced that she will love to help you);

    it may be a solution to keep your baby warm …

    To all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Belgium !:)

    Not as often as he used to, but he still does it once in a big while, and then he tries to dive under the couch like he used to, but instead he just slams into it because he is too big! haha

    Thank you, all, for the compliments! Ty's registered name is Apex Tyvola. He just turned 3 and is recently retired from the show ring. Zeenie is between 11 & 13 and is a BRAT dog originally found in Illinois: I've had her 9 years now and she is an angel (w/ horns, occasionally:rolleyes:)

    @Rita: Dan how did you do that? You will have to go step by step my daughter and I both could not get them on here. I see them great from you help me please got lots more want to put on here. Got some of her chasing the kids play plane that fly's. Buana your so correct innocent is that really a word. We love her to death but she is a hand full. At the is not a dull second most of the time. How are you doing? Are you getting some rest? Third question what is the due date? Thank you Holly and crystalncody. Rita Jean I posted them from your album as I was curious to see and help you if I could do it. OK here's the steps. 1.Start your new thread in Basenji Forums. Type in what you want to start it off with. **2.**Now open another browser tab so you can open your photo album separate. **3.**Open a picture from your album. **4.**With your mouse pointer on the picture, right click on the picture. A box will open with a line that says "properties". 5.Click on that and another box will open up. On the line that says "Location", just take your mouse pointer and put it right at the the start of the http…...... and hold the left side button of your mouse down and drag it all the way across to the right until it stops. The long line of numbers should be darkened. The last letters on that line should be"jpg" Let go of the button. **6.**Put the mouse pointer on that area anywhere and right click your mouse and choose "Copy". **7.**Now you have to go back to Basenji Forums. **8.**You see those icons on top for formatting, click on that yellow square box that looks like a picture of a mountain with a moon, click on that. A box will open that says Please enter the URL of your image: Put your mouse on that line and right click and paste that long line you copied in there and then click "OK". **9.**It will now put that line of information onto your thread. You will see that same address now but no picture. That's OK because when you're done you'll see them. **10.**At the beginning and end of that line should be . Put your mouse right after that one on the end and click so your curser is blinking and then hit "enter" on your keyboard so it goes down a line. Now you can type in what you want to describe that picture that will show up. Now click "enter" again to go down a line 11.Now go back to your album and do those same steps again for the rest of pictures. I will now try it. [image: 374821752.jpg] Isn't Jaycee cute! [image: 374821745.jpg] I'm ready for a show!
