poor critters..the puppy is looking awfully skinny..the cat looks rather annoyed at first, like cats do, but it seems to warm up to the idea of a snuggler moving in..to sweet.

I hope that puppy was rescued very soon after these photos were shot. It was way past skinny, into emaciated. It almost brings on tears for me. That pup looking for affection anywhere it can find it and obviously hungry. The cat giving the only thing it has to offer…its warmth. Thank you for sharing these, NDO. It does make you say, "Awww..." but then it makes you think...

Yeah, damn it. I was too fast posting this. The instant I saw it I was "Awww how cute they snuggle". So I post it…only to realize it's not that cute, but sad....man do I feel like a douche..... :P

It is cute, it's nice to see that the two of them are able to comfort each other, at least with body heat. The context is just a little depressing. Particularly since I just found out one of Zoni's sisters is on the streets right now and her owner has been looking for her for weeks. :(

Hmm…I didn't assume they were strays...the puppy doesn't look THAT skinny to me. But they do look COLD!! I said "ohhhhh, poor babies" instead of "awww..." but it still was an interesting photo series, don't feel bad NDO :)

Well I guess the moral of this is; No matter how bad things are, everyone likes a snuggle.

I asked Sue if she could forward me where the owner lives and when the puppy was last seen. If I get the info, I'll post it. I believe she's somewhere in NE IL but I'm not sure. The owner has seen her a few times but hasn't been able to recover her. But I think that was before it started to get really cold and snowy. :(
