@DolceMomma: Hi all, I got the most wonderful gift tonight…holding my beloved little Spot on my lap and in my arms while he slept. He's home with us at last. Thank you all so much for your thoughts, your prayers, and your help. Thank God for the happy news! I'm sure that Amy is happy to have Mr. Spot back in her arms. I'm so glad to read another story to encourage lost owners to NEVER give up on lost b's! :)

She said there's been a large amount of Basenjis rescued lately but she has been finding them good homes.

I am glad that he is in a home where he is known and one that can deal with his issues. Do let us know how it goes with his rebonding to you and your family.

@sharronhurlbut: Does she have dew claws? yep. Sure does. I am going out sometime today or tonight and getting pictures and doing the evaluation. I will post her pic when I get back.

<> This is generally considered not good advice for dogs like Basenjis. Unlike other dogs, they are not very forgiving with people that cause them pain. You will likely end up with a dog that becomes fearful of people reaching for his head. Often squeezing a dog's muzzle to alleviate play biting will have the opposite effect as well, as it charges a dog up even more. And FTR, rubbing a dog's face in anything is cruel, and ineffective teaching. Not one, single professional trainer that is up to date on current techniques would advocate that. There are many threads here about working to reduce puppy play biting with Basenjis. Look under the training threads.
