@abonnard Pee pads got me through in the end, she would pee every 20 mins for the first months, then 40 mins, then she suddenly went to being able to hold it for many hours. One of the best purchases I got before she arrived was a small carpet washer, saved my sanity. The cleanup is so key otherwise they go back to the same spot.

He's cute! We need more pics! He's really dark brindle, very nice!
And: welcome!!
-
He is a very dark brindle which is one of the reasons we picked him.
I took some more pics and he is (in my eyes) beautiful when running in the sun. Nothing is as pretty as a Basenji running, of course none of those pics turned out, but here are a few others of him….
Enjoy, Basenjimamma

Wow, he's really a handsome B!!

What a pretty pup. Thanks for the pictures!! and welcome to the forum. I'm partial to the brindles.
I have an older brindle guy who's more of a black over red. Yours looks more like a red over black. I never thought to look here to see if there's a color distinction amongst brindles. I will now.
Again, welcome Otis and family.

Thanks for the warm welcome Snorky998, we are glad to be here.

He looks so joyful! I have a huge soft spot for brindle boys
-
What a sweet face! Congratulations. Love brindles.

Welcome to the forum!

Thank you all so much. Otis is getting more and more used to our other dogs and chickens and he is "blossoming" into a very curious little, or should I say big( at 18.9lbs at 4 months) boy.

Welcome to the pack – what a beautiful boy (but then what basenji isn't beautiful).
The look in his eye makes me think he's going to grow up into a real teaser
