    I just bought Bella some Merricks Grammy's Pot Pie (dry). It sounds so good I'm tempted to give it a try, LOL!!! I haven't given it to her yet, I'm trying to time it out so I can introduce it slowly… I had to get it at a feed & seed supply store.

    It IS sad that people are uneducated about the differences of dog foods… but what is worse is that some of these companies don't care how bad the food is for our pets. Another example of how money is more important in their pocket...

    BTW, for treats we like Old Mother Hubbard!!!:D

    We use ones from Rukka. Not sure if they’re available everywhere but they are they best ones we have tried (others always fell off, especially in deep snow). I think having two Velcro closures on each sock has been key. I also prefer the soft shell ones as our B seems to accept them more and they don’t twist as much as the ones with a hard sole.     @sanjibasenji Marvin brought a couple of Resco clippers over from the States when he married me and moved this side of the Pond. Although that was 45 years ago now and Marvin joined his huge pack of departed Basenjis a while back, the clippers are still going strong and I haven't needed to look for others - Probably there are better ones around these days, but my old ones still do a good job.

    Ours are confined to the porch when we leave for work. They have an adequate amount of room to move around and they also have a doggie door they can go out to access the yard. It is great, if it is nice out they go and lounge on the deck and chase those pesky squirrels and if the weather is not good they can retreat back to the porch and lay on their bed inside. They are separated from the rest of the house with a baby gate that mounts to the wall. So far, fingers crossed, they haven't been able to figure out they can jump over the baby gate and it's been 3 years since we have moved into the house.

    luckily the seizures dont happen anymore and ya they sleep in bed with us lol, cant get rid of them. ha. hope the seizures never happen again.

    Hm never thought of that! Thanks for the suggestion! :) I actually found a site that does engraved logos on their tags & so I could get a football engraved on the one side with his info on it. We'll see though!

    My Hollie girl eats from the bowl sometimes and sometimes she takes a few minutes to another room. She constantly "hides" her dogfood, in corners, under a doormat, under my bed pillows, etc. I don't know if this is something that all basenjis do, or if it is because she had been a stray when I adopted her. Either way, she is certainly entertaining.
