Hello, I'm pomegranatetears, Lina Marie's human ;).
I adopted a basenji/something mix (the vet can't tell what the other part of her is LOL) and am completely and utterly gaga over the breed. I've never been so enamored with a specific breed of dog (I just like dogs in general) my entire life. In fact, I don't remember ever being so in love with a dog before.
Lina has wrapped our entire family around her small white paw. Anyhow, after I adopted her I read up as much as I could as to how to keep a dog happy and found that they are happiest when someone else is the pack leader. I tend to be an old softie, but am doing my best to be assertive and maintain control over my dog…and she seems very happy about it.

Welcome and do post pictures (we're addicted). You'll find lots of good solid information here, wonderful stories, and great support. We're addicted to the breed and concerned for their welfare and collectively have lots of experience - nothing surprises us when it comes to these beasties :)
